Favorite TV Theme Songs

Are you a TV theme song geek? (I am) If you are too, let me know a few of your favorites in the comment section. I'll try to compile some of them into a compilation and post it sometime in November (after the October Halloween blogathon).

It could be anything from any era of television. Sit-com, cartoon, talk show, drama, game show, reality series, children's show or whatever you like.

  1. I love "Brady Bunch", "I Love Lucy (and the lyric version, too)", "Gilligan's Island", "Bewitched".

    Newer: "Big Bang Theory", "Psych"...

I could go on and on...

  2. I'm with you, I love a lot of them. Possibly my favorite non-Trek theme is Wild Wild West. Or the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

  4. The Munsters, The A-Team, The Odd Couple and Barney Miller. the base line for Barney Miller's theme was one of the best.

  5. Just yesterday I caught myself singing "WKRP in Cincinnati."

    I also find "The Jeffersons" to be a toe-tapper. That's right. "Toe-tapper."

  6. Where to start?

Rat Patrol, Outer Limits, Twelve O'Clock High, Peyton Place, Mission: Impossible, The Invaders, Police Squad!, The Untouchables, Patty Duke Show. To name a few.

Oh... and Vic Mizzy's "Addams Family" theme, of course. A masterpiece of simplicity.
