Some years ago (I think it was around 2000), a local comic book store had a "meet and greet" with Phil Brown, who played Uncle Owen in the original Star Wars movie. I'm glad I got to meet him, he passed away February 9, 2006.

I met Phil several times, and was lucky enough to have lunch with him, his wife Ginny, and Bonnie Piesse (the new Beru) at Celebration 2. Ginny told me that the only thing that kept him going was being out and seeing the fans. When he got sick and couldn't do it anymore, it was really hard on him. He was a real gentleman.
