Halloween T-Shirt #30

Well, this is the last of the t-shirts. We had a costume contest at work today. I didn't win, but at least I got out of work for 20 minutes and got paid for it. Everybody called me the "horny little devil". So, I guess that's what I was dressed as. :) Mona the Witch won.

Happy Halloween!

The big day is finally here! I hope everyone is having a great Halloween season. I would like to thank you all for stopping by Wonderful Wonderblog this month. Hopefully I brought a little Halloween joy to your lives. :)  I would also like to thank my brother Scott for providing the Famous Monsters of Filmland articles. Thanks bro! I'll have a couple more posts before the day is over and then I'll probably take a few days off from blogging. I was thinking of doing a Thanksgiving shirt-a-day. But I only have one. So that won't work. Take care everybody. Happy Haunting!

Halloween T-Shirt #29

The Halloween Tree?

Fallen Souls

On October 1st I asked my son's girlfriend if she could write a Halloween poem for Wonderful Wonderblog. She has a real talent for writing poems and songs. You may remember she wrote a Valentine's Day poem for the blog back in 2011. She sat at the table with pen and paper and a determined look on her face. In about 15 minutes she cranked out a poem. I was astonished by her creativity! She also drew the picture that accompanies the poem. Sadly, about a week later, they broke up after being together for 2 ½ years. I still keep in touch with her and she said it was OK to post her poem. I really miss her, she was like a daughter to me. So, without further ado, here is a Halloween poem by Jordyn McAdams.

Fallen Souls

Teenage tipping toes
Creep up wooden stairs
And adventures for giggles
Now raise goosebumps through hairs.

Ghostly figures whisk by curtains
Shadows with eyes lurk inside doors
Screams shatter throughout echoed halls
And much more awaits to be in store.

Winds flutter up fallen dead leaves
Under moonlight's devilish glowing
A mischievous night occurs all around
Even for unfortunate souls unknowing.

Lock your windows, doors and minds
Parents keep your children safe in bed
For believing in those spirits for only one second
Will open the locked door to insanity in your head.

Possessed by power only the corrupted have known
You will slowly begin to fade away
The moonlight will die, as the sun's time will shine
Swept away in the dead of leaves your mindless body will stay.

Halloween T-Shirt #28

The Invisible Man! The last of the new Universal Monster shirts from Wal-Mart.

Think of the Options

Mr. Fun's Costumes & Magic Emporium

Mr. Fun's Costumes & Magic Emporium is a locally owned store located in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. They've been in business since 1968. If you want a costume, they probably have it. I stopped in there this weekend and took a few photos.

Halloween T-Shirt #27

Another one of the new Universal Monster shirts from Wal-Mart.

Just Call Me Frank

Tricking and Treating

We had trick-or-treat here in Akron on Saturday night from 5:00 until 7:00. It was cold, wet and gloomy. I made 60 treat bags and ended up giving out 54 of them. A majority of the kids came around the first and last half hour of the night. Most of them had little or no costume at all. But, there was one really great costume and she let me take her picture. See below.

Candy! Candy! Candy!

Best costume of the night! A girl in a home-made TARDIS costume with her little dinosaur dog.

Halloween T-Shirt #26

Well, I actually ran out of Halloween shirts yesterday. Only five days before the Big Day! So, I went to Wal-Mart and bought five new shirts. What I won't do for this blog. :) The first of the new shirts is Creature from the Black Lagoon. And it glows in the dark.

Talkin' 'Bout My Decorations

Here's my Halloween decorations this year. Nothing elaborate. I didn't even put them all up.

Halloween T-Shirt #25

I've seen Alice Cooper a couple of times in concert. The latest was August 2011.

Topstone Creepshow Mask

I've had this mask for over 20 years and never knew who it was. After doing some research for this post, I found out that it is Nate from the movie Creepshow. It was manufactured by Topstone Ind., Inc. in 1982.

Here I am wearing it in 1988.

Ghost Poll

For some reason, the Favorite Ghost Poll in the sidebar has been reset to zero. I've lost all votes on the poll. If everyone could please vote again, I would appreciate it. It ends in five days. Thanks!

Halloween T-Shirt #24

I'm really late posting this because me and the wife went to the library to see The Avengers. Still a great movie!

This is an Old Navy Halloween shirt from 2010.

Headknockers

I have four Headknocker bobble-heads made by NECA.

Pinhead (released in 2003)
Frankenstein (color)(2006)
Frankenstein (black & white)(2008)
The Wolfman (black & white)(2008)

They are really neat. But, the best thing about them is that they were all gifts from different people. :)

Halloween T-Shirt #23

Another thrift store shirt. This one courtesy of a local D.A.R.E. program. I doubt that it was licensed by Universal.

Some Halloween Music

A couple of my old Halloween music shares are still available to download on RapidShare. Get 'em while you still can.

Halloween T-Shirt # 22

Happy Halloween from the United States Postal Service. I found this shirt at a thrift store a few years ago. It shows a bunch of little mailboxes in costume accosting a larger mailbox.

More Autumn Eats

Here's some more Halloween food I've tried this month. To see what I had for breakfast, click here.

Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights - I really like these. This is my second box. I throw one in my lunchbox almost every day.
M&M's White Chocolate Candy Corn - These are just ok. They taste like white chocolate, no candy corn flavor.
Giant Eagle Pumpkin Yogurt - This is pretty good. It's from a local grocery store chain.
