Halloween Party!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

My wife and I went to a Halloween Party Saturday night. We had a swell time! :)

Here's some photos:

My wife and I as the tacky tourists.

Our hosts.

Ann (that I featured in a post a couple of days ago) was dressed as Tippi Hedren from The Birds.

Lots of good food, including "feet" loaf!

Finger cookies.

Strawberry ghosts.

My wife made bacon crack.

Halloween cake balls.

Everybody voted for their favorite costumes in five categories.

Counting the ballots.

Winner for sexiest costume - Dr. Frank N. Furter

Scariest costume.

Funniest costume - Bill and Monica :)

Ann won for original costume.

Best costume went to Raggedy Ann and Andy

Looks like a fun party. Love the spooky spread. What exactly is bacon crack?

Thanks Lady M. Bacon crack is really good! Here's the recipe:

Ingredients

Cooking spray, for parchment
10 slices bacon, chopped
1 tube crescent rolls
1/4 c. maple syrup
3/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.

2. In a medium skillet, cook bacon 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

3. Roll out Crescent Rolls onto parchment. Pinch seams to make one single sheet. Prick all over with a fork.

4. Drizzle with half the maple syrup. Top with brown sugar in a single layer, doing your best to cover all over. Top with cooked bacon, distributing evenly, and drizzle with remaining maple syrup.

5. Bake until golden, 20 to 25 minutes.

6. Let cool completely before slicing into pieces and serving.
