Halloween Movies @ The Main Library

Every year the Main Branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library shows Halloween movies on the big screen Thursday at 6:15 pm. Relax and enjoy classics or recent blockbusters in Main Library’s auditorium. Free parking on weekdays after 6 pm with a voucher from the library.

• October 9, 6:15 pm: "Monster House" (2006) by Sony Pictures - Three teens discover that their neighbor's house is really a living, breathing, scary monster. 1hr 31m.

• October 16, 6:15 pm: "Tremors" (1990) by Universal Studios - Natives of a small, isolated town defend themselves against strange underground creatures which are killing them one by one. 1hr 36m.

• October 23, 6:15 pm: "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (1983) by Walt Disney Pictures - In a small American town, a diabolical circus and its demonic proprietor prey on the townsfolk. 1hr 35m.

• October 30, 6:15 pm: "Black Sabbath" (1963) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios - Boris Karloff hosts a trio of horror stories in this classic anthology from Mario Bava. 1hr 3

Halloween Favorites

During October they show a couple of old horror flicks. This year you have to register before you can see the movie. Our local library shows free movies every Thursday on the big screen in their auditorium. During October they usually show a couple of classic monster flicks. This year they have two comedy classics. I hope I can get out to see them.
