Halloween Event In Pokémon GO

I'm sure most of you don't play the game. I've been playing every day for the past five years. I don't see me stopping any time soon!

The Halloween Event is usually one of the bigger events in Pokémon GO and this year doesn't disappoint. The event runs from Oct. 15 until Oct. 31. Five new Pokémon are being added to the game. Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Phantump. Trevenant and Galarian Slowking. The new shiny is Spinarak. Pikachu, Piplup and Drifblim are wearing hats.

The following infographics explain most of the spooky happenings for the next two weeks.

If you've made it this far, please add me.

Pokémon GO Halloween Event

Does anyone play Pokémon GO?  I have to admit I am addicted! For more info, visit these pages ~ website, Facebook, Twitter.
Here's some info about the event:

"Do you feel a change in the breeze? A chill down your spine? Pokémon GO Halloween is back for a spooky good time! Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region, such as Drifloon and Stunky, join in on the fun, which begins on October 23 at 1:00 p.m. PDT! And, because you can’t have tricks without any treats, Trainers will be able to earn double Candy for every Pokémon caught until November 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.

During this event, it seems Professor Willow will need your help on some limited-time Special Research. He stumbled across an odd stone one day and has been experiencing strange happenings around his lab ever since! Could a Pokémon be causing this ruckus? Complete Special Research tasks and find out before whatever it is goes away! You’ll also be able to enjoy Field Research featuring Ghost-type and Dark-type Pokémon throughout the event.

Plus, the Renegade Pokémon, Giratina, will make its first appearance in Raid Battles! This Ghost- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region has emerged from the Distortion World for an extended time, so challenge it before it leaves on November 20 at 1:00 p.m. PST!

Feeling extra creepy and kooky? New avatar items featuring Ghost-type Pokémon are now available in the Style Shop! From a Drifloon Cap to a Gengar Backpack, you can show your love for these Pokémon all year round.

Steel your nerves and get ready for some strange and scary fun times! Stay safe, and happy exploring!"

Happy Halloween!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween! Sorry I didn't post everyday like I wanted to. I blame it on three things:

1. Pokémon GO ~ I'm addicted to this game and play everyday!

2. I have a new granddaughter that was born earlier this year. She's adorable!

3. I'm just plain lazy!!! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Monsterfestmania Review

Back on July 30 I went to the first annual Monsterfestmania classic sci-fi and horror convention in Akron, Ohio. The show was put on by the same people that run the Akron Comicon. I had a really good time and look forward to next year's show.

You can find out more about Monsterfestmania at these sites:

Website
Facebook Page
Facebook Group

Here's some of my photos from the show:

I met actor Felix Silla. He was Cousin Itt on The Addams Family, Twiki on Buck Rogers and an Ewok in Return of the Jedi among many other roles.

I also met some local horror hosts.

Dale Kay from Eerie House

The Son of Ghoul

Janet Decay from The Mummy and the Monkey

Vilessence Vile. He's not a horror host, but he's cool.

The Green Goblin head from Maximum Overdrive.

The local CW channel was there. Spin the wheel and win a prize! I won a deck of  "The King of Queens" playing cards. :)

Local cosplay group Rubber City Cosplay

Horror cosplayers.

The winners of the costume contest.

Even the cars were dressed up.
Here's some cool stuff I saw that I didn't buy:

Here's what I did buy. Weird that I didn't buy anything horror related.

Pokémon GO Team Valor (red) sticker.

I got a really good deal on some Funko Pop!s.

Incredible Hulk button.
