A Halloween KISS

The new KISS album, Sonic Boom, goes on sale tomorrow exclusively at all Wal-Mart stores. In conjunction with the new release, Wal-Mart will have "KISS Korners" set up in the electronic and Halloween departments. They feature make-up kits, wigs, t-shirts, KISS Mr. Potato Heads, KISS M&Ms and other stuff. If you want to dress up as your favorite KISSer for Halloween check out Wal-Mart.

In the late 70s, I dressed up as Gene Simmons and my brother was Peter Criss. We didn't use any make-up kits, we just used plain black and white grease paint.

There's a limited edition UK release three disc version of this that includes a bonus CD containing 15 Kiss klassics plus the Live in Buenos Aires DVD.

okay, only reference to the kiss make-up. i had the make-up in like 4th grade and i started to put it on my face... gggrr short of it... i had a black beard and white eyes... i looked stupid and since no one knew what i was suppose to be... i wrote it off as a ghosty fisherman...

i went to a haunted walk and was not gene, paul, ace or peter... i was a the ghost of the gordon's fisherman... lol.

thanks for the memories...

My copy of the 3 disc version I mentioned before finally arrived today. I had it mailed to me from an amazon reseller. Probably not worth the cost of having it mailed to me and the fact I had to wait a few more days, other than from the satisfaction I get from NOT purchasing one of Walmart's stupid exclusive releases from them. I'm sick of this exclusive release crap from Walmart and Itunes. I hate being told where and what I'm allowed to buy by these corporate weasels. I refuse to buy anything from either of them on principal alone if not for other reasons.

I liked the new disc - its no Destroyer or Love Gun, but its solid.

The bonus disc was rather disappointing for me as it turns out to be the EXACT same stuff that was included with last years japanese cd/dvd set Jigoku-Retsuden (Intense Transmission from Hell) - also released as Kiss Best - Kissology and Kiss Klassics - which has 15 re-recorded Kiss klassics redone by the 2008 band line-up (Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer).

Here's a track list in case anyone wants to know what those songs are:

1. "Deuce"
2. "Detroit Rock City"
3. "Shout It Out Loud"
4. "Hotter Than Hell"
5. "Calling Dr. Love"
6. "Love Gun"
7. "I Was Made For Lovin' You"
8. "Heaven's On Fire"
9. "Lick It Up"
10. "I Love It Loud"
11. "Forever"
12. "Christine Sixteen"
13. "Do You Love Me"
14. "Black Diamond"
15. "Rock And Roll All Nite"

So overall, other than the concert footage dvd, the 3 disc set offers little to those who already have those songs so I'd have to recommend sticking with the single disc version of this one.

got the "kiss" cd, liking it...
disaster-me... disaster-you...
disastrous... my favorite line.

i have much respect for groups that don't change their style, keep what makes them great... great! thanks for your site, i would have not known it was out in the world.

something to listen to "alice in chains" new cd... very good. i didn't think i would like it... since the lead singer's death so many years ago...
