Sounds To Make You Shiver!

I know this has been shared a bajillion times on other blogs, so one more couldn't hurt.

Sounds To Make You Shiver! released by Pickwick in 1974.

This was my favorite Halloween record in the 1970's. When cassettes came around I dubbed it to tape and played it every year during Trick or Treat.

I think this came from Jason at the Scar Stuff blog. Click here to see what he had to say about it.

Thanks! I need a good sound effects Halloween album. Oddly I don't have one in my collection of all things Halloween.

O.M.G. ! I hadn't heard this since I was a little kid. I had this on vinyl. Wish I had kept it. I remember being slightly spooked listening to this as a youngster. Wow, this has made my day. Thanks !

Oh my God! I never thought I'd hear this album again! Definitely one of my all time favorites along with my old school comic book Power Records back in the day! The artwork on this album was the best and drove my imagination wild for days and days! Definitely one of the influences for me in becoming a comic book artist. Thanks a million for posting this, complete with the front and cover art no less! This Halloween is gonna be awesome! This is like X-mas in Halloween for me!

I dont think this was released in 1974. I saw a webpage that had multiple covers of this same album. some covers looked like imports and some looked like they were from the 1960's

also this record was re-issued on vinyl. Few years ago, I got a cheap copy on a different label, from a used record store, still sealed. Didnt open it.

In a way, i wish the people who made these records would come foreward and identify themselves.

Also info about Frank Daniel & Wade Denning, well there seems to be only one entry on the IMDB on one of them (Even though Wade Denning did some other albums-halloween related) and one of the information states one of them (forgot which one) was a trumpet player. not sure how accurate any of the information is.

THIS RECORD IS SCARY AND GAVE KIDS NIGHTMARES!!!
