I got my very first tattoo Saturday! I figured I'd better do it now because who knows what it will look like when I'm 80. :)
I knew I wanted a classic Sal Buscema Hulk. The 70s and early 80s were my favorite era of the Hulk. So I found a picture online and made an appointment at a local tattoo shop. I had it done at Empire Ink by tattoo artist Frank Miller.
Being my first tattoo, I wasn't sure what to expect. The outline wasn't too bad. But when he started adding the color it felt like he was burning off hunks of my flesh. I've never felt so much pain in my life! But, I survived and I love it. Plus, it's been "leaking". I was a little worried about that because ink was running down my leg. I was told it was plasma and should stop after a couple of days. That's a relief, my wife thought I might need to have my leg amputated. lol

Happy Birthday To Me!!!
It's that time of year again: MY BIRTHDAY!!! Yay me!
I had a really swell birthday weekend. Saturday morning went to Golden Corral for the breakfast buffet with the family. They had deep fried bacon! I thought it would be awesome, but it was just ok. I still prefer regular bacon.
Saturday afternoon I got my Hulk tattoo. Don't let anyone fool you. It hurt like crazy! I'll make a separate tattoo post in a little bit.
Sunday afternoon I saw The Wolverine. I really enjoyed it. Even though it wasn't completely comic book accurate.
And today I noticed I got my own Google Doodle! I have a Google + account that I don't use. Am I the only one that can see this? Or does the whole world know it's my birthday. lol

Goodwill Finds
I bought this stuff at the beginning of June at the Goodwill Outlet store. I took pictures of them and then forgot to post them. Better late than never. I believe I only paid 35¢ for each item. I love the outlet store!

Blogiversary's, Birthday's and Tattoo's
Speaking of getting old. Next Monday is my 47th birthday. If anyone wants to get me a present, you can check out my Amazon Wish List at the bottom of the blog. I thank you in advance. lol I got my first birthday gift today in the mail from my brother. He bought me Marvel Essential The Defenders Vol. 6 and a weird little stuffed Hulk. Thanks bro!
And from my wife, I'm getting a tattoo. She's not actually going to do it, she just agreed to let me get it. This will be my first tattoo (mid-life crisis?) and I'm a little nervous. I'm getting a classic Sal Buscema Hulk on my right calf (see picture below). Also, It will be in full color. I'll post some photos after I get it this Saturday.
If any of you have a nerdy, dorky, retro, pop culture, comic book, cartoon, monster, sci-fi or just plain cool tattoo that you'd like to share, you can email a picture of it to me and I'll put them together for a future post.
Thanks everyone for checking out Wonderful Wonderblog. I hope you get at least a little enjoyment out of the dorky stuff I post here!

What Is This?
I found this at a tag sale today buried in a box of junk. They only wanted 25¢ for it, but I ended up getting it free when I threw it in with a bunch of stuff my buddy bought.
There are no markings on it. I assume it's a finger puppet. It has a face on the other side with it's mouth closed. Is it a werewolf? Cereal premium? Is it from the 70s? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Marvel Blu-Ray Bundle on Amazon
This is a pretty good deal. You get nine Marvel movies for $59.99. Titles include X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men 3, X-Men First Class, Wolverine, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four 2, Daredevil and Elektra. Some of these may not be the best movies, but it's an easy way to build up your Marvel Blu-Ray collection cheap.

Dennis Burkley, R.I.P.
From EW.com --
Character actor and filmmaker Dennis Burkley — known for his voice role as Principal Moss on the animated comedy King of the Hill — has died, agent David Ankrum confirmed to EW. He was 67.
Burkley is survived by wife Laura, daughter Shannan, and son Shawn, who told The Hollywood Reporter that his father has been battling health issues for some time. To EW, he added, “He was a great father as well as a great actor. He stayed with my mom in Hollywood where marriages don’t last very long. He cared deeply about his family.”
Along with his voice work on the Emmy-winning Fox animated sitcom, Burkley was a distinct character actor, playing burly, intimidating men on shows such as The Rockford Files, The Dukes of Hazzard, Who’s the Boss?, and My Name Is Earl. He also starred as Sanford’s Southern-born junkyard partner in the Sanford & Son sequel Sanford and had a recurring role on Hill Street Blues as the tough biker Sonny Crockett.
More recently, Burkley wrote, directed, and produced indie comedy Repetition in 2005. His latest project was as director of the 2012 film short The Painted Woman.

Atlantic City: Slot Machines
Whenever we go to casinos, my wife and I only play the slots. We never win really big, but we have a good time. I did manage to walk away from a KISS machine with $190.
Here's a few photos of some licensed slot machines I snapped with my phone while we were in Atlantic City.
