The Countdown To Halloween Starts Tomorrow!

© Beistle Co. Made in U.S.A.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for the beginning of The Countdown to Halloween!

Just like last year, I'm going to share my collection of old Halloween paper cutout decorations. Some of them belonged to my parents in the 60s and 70s. Some I bought myself in the 80s and 90s. And a bunch of them I've found at thrift stores and flea markets. I'm going to share one cutout per day until the end of October.

Plus I'll have a bunch of random Halloween posts all month long.

If you're participating in The Countdown to Halloween and also share your posts on Facebook or Twitter, please leave a link in the comment section below so that I can follow you.

I hope you enjoy my Countdown to Halloween 2015!

Labor Day Flea Market Finds

Thought I'd get this in before The Countdown To Halloween starts.

Here's some stuff I bought or saw at the Hartville Flea Market on Labor Day.

Godzilla Game for $8.00. It's missing the playing pieces and the box, but I'd never seen one before.

The Bionic Woman board game. It was in a stack of games that were marked $4.00 each and then the lady said everything was half price.

Hulk tray puzzle $1.00. BootLego Hulk $4.00.

Frankenstein car and Dracula comics $1.00 each.

I found these Smurfs buried under some Christmas stuff at a booth where everything was 3 for  a $1.00!

More 3 for a $1.00.

The Empire Strikes Back 3D trading cards. 3 packs for $5.00.

Old Fisher Price animals. 25¢ each.

6 Ziggy pvc figures for $5.00.

The following is stuff that I did not buy, but took pictures of.

Beatles cards.

Bionic Oscar Goldman?

Zombie Ponch.

Mork & Mindy.

Dragonmaster game.

Holiday blowmolds.

Character glasses.

Star Wars Illustrated: The Empire Strikes Back Trading Cards

Here's a description of the cards from --

See ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ drama like never before with Topps Star Wars Illustrated: The Empire Strikes Back. Each base card uses brand new artwork to re-tells the radio drama from unique and interesting vantage point. This set adds new background and expands on key scenes from the film. Insert cards include One Year Earlier, Movie Poster Reinterpretations, and The Mission: Capture Skywalker.

Hits Include:
  • Film Cel Relics from The Empire Strikes Back
  • Sketch Cards
  • Panorama Sketch Cards
  • Artist Autographs
  • Sketchagraphs
  • Printing Plates

I was buying packs of these cards a couple at a time from my local comic book shop (Kenmore Komics) for the past few months. I hadn't got any of the big hits until a couple of weeks ago when I bought the last three packs he had.

Sketch card of the Millennium Falcon in the asteroid field by Daniel Benitez and Arturo "JAR" Ramirez (not sure why it took two people to draw this).

Film Cel Relic #FR-2 Back at Echo Base. It's hard to see the film cel in my scan. It's real close to the picture of Han Solo I captured from an online video.

My Force Friday Trip To Walmart

I also went to my local Walmart on Force Friday. Not as impressive as Target. They had a few things in the toy aisle. I found some t-shirts in the men's clothing dept., but they were all buried behind other shirts. I moved them all to the front. :) Didn't buy anything here either.

My Force Friday Trip To Target

I stopped by Target at a little after four in the afternoon on Friday to see all of the new Star Wars stuff. There displays were pretty impressive. I didn't buy anything, but I took a bunch of pictures.
