Paul Stanley Mask

I went thrift shopping yesterday to look for stuff for my Halloween costume. I didn't find anything I could use, but I did find this at The Salvation Army. It's a Paul Stanley from KISS mask made by The Paper Magic Group in 1997. I paid $2.99 for it.

Red Barn Restaurant Paper Masks

Who remembers Red Barn Restaurants? I sure do. There were several of them in the Akron area in the 70s. According to Wikipedia the first one opened in 1961 and the last one closed around 1986. Most of the Red Barn buildings are still standing and house other businesses.

At the beginning of September, I was at a flea market and found these paper masks of the Red Barn mascots for $1.00 each. Now all I need is Fried Chicken Hungry to have a whole set of the Hungries.

Topstone Creepshow Mask

I've had this mask for over 20 years and never knew who it was. After doing some research for this post, I found out that it is Nate from the movie Creepshow. It was manufactured by Topstone Ind., Inc. in 1982.

Here I am wearing it in 1988.

1, 2 Freddy's Coming For You...

Here's some A Nightmare on Elm Street stuff from my collection.

This Freddy mask and hat are from 1987. I'm guessing the glove is from the same time because I wore them together at Halloween.

I'm not sure where this little fellow came from. There's no markings on him except for that Made in Korea sticker on his back.

Here I am wearing the mask and glove in 1987.

And my son wearing it around the year 2000 (give or take a few years).
