The actor who played the Professor in "Gilligan's Island" has died ... TMZ has learned.
Russell Johnson, who played Professor Roy Hinkley, died of natural causes at his home in Washington.
Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann, just posted on Facebook, "My 2 favorite people are now gone. The professor past (sic) away this morning. My heart is broken."
The other person who died is Bob Denver, who played Gilligan. He died in 2005.
Johnson was on the show from 1964 to 1967.
Wells went on: "Russell was a true gentleman, a good father, a great friend, and 'the rest.'"
Johnson was married -- this was his third wife.
Johnson was 89.

Larry D. Mann, who voiced Yukon Cornelius in the animated Christmas favorite "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," has died. He was 91.
His son, Richard Mann, says the actor died of age-related causes on Monday in Los Angeles.
Beginning in the 1950s, the Canadian-born Mann had small roles in movies, including "The Sting" and "In the Heat of the Night."
On TV, his appearances included "Gunsmoke," ''Bewitched" and Hill Street Blues."
He also did voice work for animated shows, including 1964's "Rudolph."
His son says Mann's last role before retirement was playing a talent agent in the 1991 TV show "Homefront."
