Hallmark Halloween Ornaments 2026

Every year Hallmark releases Halloween ornaments and Christmas ornaments that fit right in on a Halloween tree. Here's this year's offerings. Which ones are your favorites? I'm really digging that Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Vampire Costume ornaments. Click here to see all of my past ornament posts.

Halloween Clothes at Walmart

I checked out a couple of local Walmarts to see what this year's Halloween fashion looks like.

There were more, but these were my favorites.

Restoring CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON 1954 French Grande Posterfix

I came across these poster restoration videos earlier this year and thought they were pretty cool. Some of the videos feature vintage monster movie posters. I'm gonna share some of those this month.

Every year the Akron-Summit County Public Library shows spooky movies almost every Thursday in October. This year's line-up looks pretty good.

Thursday, October 08

"The Visit" (2015) by Universal Pictures (PG-13): "Two siblings uncover a harrowing secret about their grandparents while spending a week at their remote Pennsylvania farm." (94 minutes)

Thursday, October 15

"The Addams Family" (2019) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. (PG): "Dark hilarity ensues after the Addams Family--and their macabre traditions--relocate to suburbia, 21st century New Jersey. As they prepare for a major celebration that involves their extended family, they have to maneuver around the machinations of a devious reality-television host." (86 minutes)

Thursday, October 29

"The Witches" (1990) by Warner Bros. (PG): A sorceress brews a potion to turn children into mice. Based on a story by Roald Dahl." (91 minutes)

The Countdown To Halloween 2026

I think I say this every year: I'm not ready! 😁

I've got a few ideas for posts this year. Hopefully I got enough to last all month.

Make sure you check out the Countdown to Halloween blog to see all of the participating Cryptkeepers this year!

And now, how about a little life update:

Back in June I had triple bypass heart surgery. Luckily, they found it before I actually had a heart attack. I still have a little discomfort in my chest. Everybody heals differently. They say it could take six months or more to fully heal. I'm going to cardio rehab three times a week until November. 💗

In July I turned 60 years old! How did that happen?

Anywho, that's enough about me. Let's get this countdown started! 👻💀
