Ookla The Mok is a filk band that has been performing at science fiction and comic book conventions since 1994. They bill themselves as Rock Music For Nerds. 
I've seen them perform live a couple of times at The Pittsburgh Comicon. I took these photos of them probably five to seven years ago (Sorry about the quality of the pictures.)
A lot of their music is about sci-fi, comic books and other pop culture.
