I was reminded of this today by a post on
Trader Crack's Card Blog.
Jim Henson passed away 20 years ago today. It's hard to believe it's been that long. Mr. Henson had a big influence on my childhood. From his television shows
Sesame Street
and
The Muppet Show
to movies like
The Muppet Movie
,
The Dark Crystal
and
Labyrinth
. He was a great talent and is definately missed.

I'm thoroughly enjoying your site. I think it's nice you remembered Jim Henson 20 years on from his passing. I remember Sammy davis Jr. died the same day. I happened to be passing through your state that day and still have the obits from The Toledo Blade (printed on a pinkish paper). It was an especially sad day since I grew up enjoying the work of both men. Thanks again for all the fascinating reading and photos. -- Gary in Omaha
